With great longing heart and expectation, children of God in Kalaymyo welcomes Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider and his entourage for a historical divine service in Laying Suh congregation, Kalaymyo on Wednesay, 30 October 2019. This was the first time ever a Chief Apostle visit in this region.

The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field. “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it.

With this bible text from Hebrews 4:12 Chief Apostle based his service.

“Jesus gave two examples, the first example was a man he just found the treasure, and the second example that was this man searching for the pearl. And after he’s searching for a long time he founds the pearl and he bought it.” Said the Chief Apostle in the beginning. We have to sell and to give up certain things. “To be saved and to enter the kingdom of God, it’s not enough to be baptized and to be sealed. We have to sell what we have.” These are nothing to do with our earthly belongings, it’s related to our attitude of hearts.

Then the Chief Apostle mentioned the things we have to sell and to give up. We have to sell, to give up the old Adam, to learn to be obedient to God and renounce sin, we trust God and remain to follow Him even we do not understand what He’s doing. We ac accept to forgive our neighbor, and we want to give up all the things that hinder the unity of the people of God.

“Those who accept to do this become rich in Christ. They have a great peace in their heart and the great joy, they are confident and strong, and they will get the great treasure: eternity with Jesus Christ.” He concluded the divine service.
